Driving

Nothing could be easier than driving in France.  The Autoroute system is probably the best road system in Europe, although the peages (road tolls) can be expensive.

The two main routes to the region are: -

A10 to Orleans then the A71 through Orleans, Clermont Ferrand then the A75 (Le Meridien) crossing the world record breaking Viaduc de Millau.

The section between Rouen, Evreux and Druex is beginning to open up and should soon bypass the need to go close to Paris.
viaducdemillau.com

A6 Paris to Beaune and on to Lyon, then the A7 Lyon to Orange and the A9 Orange to Nimes, Montpellier, Narbonne, Perpignan (La Languedocien) and then on towards the Spanish border.
